HD300 audio issue latest beta firmware
Just installed the latest beta firmware on my HD300 (20101118-0) and while it fixed the issue with flac files (thanks), now when I'm watching "live" tv, I must pause and then play for audio, i.e., if I switch HD channels, I have picture but no audio until I pause for a second and then hit play.
I'm using HDMI 1.3 through an Onkyo receiver which is connected by HDMI to my Samsung LCD TV. I didn't have this issue with prior beta or release firmware. I'm using SageTV v 7 running on Windows XP. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm submitting a bug ticket with this post. Thanks. |

We are aware of this problem and will be putting out an updated firmware soon that should address the issue.

Hi, just posted on the extender forum but should've checked here because I did update to the latest HD300 beta firmware.
Would this potentially also cause TV playback on the extender to start with no audio even if the correct audio track (e.g. "eng SP3 5-1" ) is showing as selected when one uses the advanced options menu during playback? Toggling to the secondary audio and then back to the primary gets audio playback going fine. This was not on live TV but was on a favorite recording that was still being recorded when playback was started...so maybe it's treated the same as if I was just way behind on a given show watching 'live' TV? DVD rips on the extender go straight to correct audio track (tested 5.1, 3/2, and DTS formats successfully). Starting playback of the same recording later on, after it was done also didn't initialize the audio until i toggled in the language options. However, initializing playback of that recording on the server computer itself DOES play back audio immediately. Should point out my HD300 is connected via component breakout for video and S/PDIF for audio output to my AV receiver. |

Fixed as well.
Mine too ... starting the playbacks even while still recording does now start audio correctly.
Thanks for the amazingly fast work on this !! |
