Mine happens without playing any music. But it seems to happen when switching from playing a video to recorded tv shows. However, if I watch "live" tv and not playback, the problem goes away until I try and watch a recorded show or a stored .avi file.

Glad that it isn't just me. It's happened a couple of times over the past week. I even snapped a photo this morning of it. Major purple!

Yep. that is exactly what it looks like to me. Its not just a purplish-pinkish lines at top and bottom, but its on the entire screen--like some sort of a halo or glow.

Well, it sounded like they were working on it. Just going to give them some time. It does not happen that often anyhow.

mpeg only?

I experienced this issue for the first time last night. Was watching imported avi's which were fine, then switched to a see some highlights from a recorded tv show that I had already watched and was fine, but it had the purple wash, exactly like matt's picture shows. Switching back to the avi's and the picture is fine, but every recorded show (mpeg's) had the purple wash.

On my HD200 I fix it just by switching the output to a different resolution with the Video Out button on the remote. (I'm using native resolution switching)

I wonder if it can be fixed on the HD 200 as well...

yup me too... i seem to think that the video only ever goes pink when it switches to a new resolution at media playback start or stop (native resolution switching enabled). Toggling the video output works well.

I figured out that tuning into channel 11 on my system fixes the problem. I don't know why, but that is quite a bit quicker for me than powercycling.

btl.

no i haven't updated yet either... I was just sharing my experience cause it seems to be different then everyone else (ie mine only happens when the hd300 is changing resolutions... which usually coincides with playback starting/stopping as i have native resolution switching enabled... but it does it sometimes when video is already playing and i manually change the resolution)
