SageTV Server and HD300

I got a question about SageTV server and HD300

For years I been running SageTV Server and Client on one same PC but now I just recently ordered HD300 and it arrived.

I hook HD300 up and got it running in minutes, fell in love with it instantly and I am going to order more.

I am not plan on using the PC for Client but still using it to record and store movies and TV shows so I wasn't sure if there a server only version of SageTV that would be best to use instead of combo version.

But I got a question, do I need to download server only software for HD300 or use the same SageTV I have on my PC but just stop the client from loading on PC itself when windows loads?

I always ran SageTV as a service when I also use Client on it.

Thank you

Bill

I went ahead and did a clean reinstall of SageTV and all I did was put my win.bin back that my recordings are still preserved.

This time I did not load the client instead I started the SageTV using service and complete the installation using HD300,

HD300 is worth every penny I paid for!
