HD300 no longer seeing server
My HD300 can no longer find the Media Server. I checked the settings on both ends and restarted the SageTv server, but still no joy. The extender can play internet video.
I did upgrade the router to a D-Link DIR655, so I suspect that is the issue. Filtering is turned off on the router and The HD300 shows up in the client table, although it's name is not displayed like before. I can also ping the HD300 from the Server PC. Any thoughts on which Router setting is hosing me? |

Did the server's IP change as a result of the router upgrade? Maybe the HD300 is still configured to connect to the old IP.

I tried going back to the old router, but no joy there either. Could it be a license issue? |

From the manual
The firewall on your SageTV server computer needs to allow SageTV and the HD Theater to contact each other over your network via certain ports. On your server computer, make sure that SageTV is allowed through these ports: (UDP) 31100; (TCP) 31099. any chance your router is blocking this traffic?

Can't run runclient.sh today
Yesterday I was getting a connection error 150 when I tried to run runclient.sh. Today I am getting an error in line #8, 'tmp/configold: No such file or directory'.
I reloaded the firmware, but this made no difference? |

Update
So I Telnet to the client and tried to ping the Server tonight and it timed out. So I pinged one of the other boxes on the network and it worked fine.
So I played with Windows Firewall and discovered that if I turned on the Public network for the SageTv Apps I could reach the server again. I assume this change has something to do with the router change, but not sure why. Support was not much help on this issue (disappointing), they responded a couple of times then fell off the earth. |
