SageTV Placeshifter for Android

Hello SageTV developers and inside track forum members....

Are their any plans on the development roadmap to add an Android version of the SageTV Placeshifter? I'd love to be able to access my SageTV on my Android phone and I'm certain that there are others that would to. It could potentially draw other users into the SageTV community.

I second that request... Placeshifter for the Android OS would be awesome on my brand new Cruz tablet!

Fonceur's app is the closest thing you are ever going to get regarding an Android placeshifter. The problem with it is that streaming videos does not work very well. Actually it only works for the lucky few. It is something that Fonceur is working on and hopefully we will see a working solution before too long.

I have a Cruz T301 tablet, but since it has a MIPs processor, most of the popular video players don't work on it. Which means you are stuck with the basic Android streaming, which sucks... You can use apps like VLC Stream & Convert or such, but even then, there are issues...
