OT - Anybody else notice an influx of new users?

As the title says: Is anybody else noticing an influx of new users in the past 3 months? Not saying it's bad, just interesting.

I think more users is a great thing. More likely for Sage to stick around, flourish, hire more devs, add more features, etc., etc.!

We'll just have to start digging up all those threads about "getting started" and "what you need to buy to get up and running" and such (I just posted in one of those threads in the software forum, actually).

Actually, what I have noticed, is that since narflex did it last week, all the new threads in this forum seem to start with "OT-". I guess everyone wants to be like narflex.

Yeah. It makes sense to let people know it has nothing to do with sage.

One thing I'd like to do is put together some guides to make sage less intimidating. I think I may put one together on getting client video playback to work properly as people seem to have quite a few issues in that area.

I consider the whole point of these "general discussion" forums at the bottom of the main forum page to be about things "non-Sage" - or at least the "Sage Community" one, which has a description saying expressly that.

I thought that, but some of the threads I started that I thought were "general" get moved to the sagetv community. I don't know...

I've noticed it, and the only complaint I have, is they never give enough info so you can help them! No OS, No hardware info, nothing!
