EPG outage?
Hi there,
Since this morning, my EPG is showing spotty data until 6/8. Some channels, like NECN have data, but most do not. Looking at the guide, I see full data starting on 6/8 at 8pm. I'm in Boston on Comcast. I've tried refreshing the EPG using the web interface and rebooting. No luck so far. Is this happening to anyone else? What else can I try to resolve this? I've also submitted a support request. Thanks. Todd |

Check to see if an update to your firewall or something is blocking the ports. I have read reports on here of the recent updates to Windows Defender causing problems. The Sage server needs to have outgoing port 7760 open to get EPG data.

Hi Fuzzy,
Thanks. I have neither Windows Defender or Firewall running. I do have Windows Security Essentials though. I just disabled that and am doing another EPG update. If I turned on the debug logs, would EPG update success / failure be reported there? If there a way that I can use another tool to test if the needed port is open. Like using ping or something? Here's what my debug log says. These are all of the EPG lines that I saw.
