Subtitles from BDMV folders on client?- Poll
After some searching on the forums, PMs with a very experienced user, and SageTV tech support ticket. I finally found that SageTV does not support subtitles from a movie in a BDMV structure on a client. I was pretty surprised at this as I thought it would be a core feature that Sage would have already put in.
Is this not a feature that others out there care about? I occasionally turn on subtitles if it is an English film, but I also watch a lot of foreign films which makes subs absolutely necessary. The subs work great on my HD300, but my client computer attached to my projector (where most of the movie watching is done) it isn’t supported. I thought I would reach out to the community to try to get some voice to give to Sage if this is something they should add as a feature. After seeing that they went through the trouble of added an entire security api, it sounds like they are pretty far down on their to-do list… :P I would love to hear if others have a workaround or something. I tried even adding a sub with the same name as the m2ts file and that didn’t work. If it is too tough for the developers to get the subs from the BD structure then that would be a possible workaround to export the subs to a file, of course I would rather have the native support. Thanks, flips |

I don't care about folders that much, but I'd like the support in .m2ts files. For the subbed movies I just use fuzzy's external player mod to launch tmt3. Works just fine.

I use 2 HD200's & the subs work just fine. When I was using a client computer I used TMT3 & everything worked fine also. It would be nice now that version 7 supports Blu-ray playback for subs to work from within the client software though...
