Play BDMV Folders
I use DVDFab to rip BluRay to my hard drive making M2TS files. Most of the time it makes one M2TS file and those play fine, but occasionally it will make several M2TS files and puts them in a BDMV folder. In the SAGETV documentation it states it will play BDMV Folder. When I click on the BDMV folder it opens it and shows all the M2TS files. How do I get Sage to play the BDMV FOLDER, which I would assume play them in the proper order without a glitch, just as if it were one file? Thanks in advance.

What version of Sage are you using? How are you browsing to the folders?

I have the HD Theater 200
Software V 6.5.20.1 Firmware 20100909 0 I browse from Main Menu>Folders>Browse Local Network and continue to the BDMV folder which contain the M2TS files. Or I go from Main Menu>Folders>Browse Device if the HD is connected directly to the Sage box. Thanks |

Ok.. The way to get them to work is via the video import folders (this importing is the method sage uses to determing a BDMV folder is a single entity, and not just a bunch of M2TS files). Support, i believe, is pretty limited in the v6 iteration. It will play the longest playlist in the BDMV structure. Usually, this is teh main movie, but some situations, this is not the case. v7 added the ability to switch to a different playlist.

When did you buy v6? If it is after Dec'09, then your key is actually a v7 key. If not, you'll have to purchase an upgrade key for $40.

I'm not sure when exactly I made the purchase, but I think it was before Dec'09. It is very close because I joined this forum a little bit before I purchased the Sage and that was Aug.'09. How do I know if my key is V 7?
Anyway, I only rip the main movie, so that is not an big issue. Are there any other significant improvements in V 7 that I might want to spend the $40 for if my key is V 6? Thanks again Fuzzy. |

The plugin system on its own is enough to warrant the $40.
