Setting season/episode info via MediaTitles.xml entry?
Hi there,
I am having difficulty creating an entry in my MediaTitles.xml that will properly pick up meta data for a few of my files. The files are from the PlayOn plugin so I can't just rename the files. And Netflix likes to remove things from my que and then re-add them a few days later, so manually setting the metadata for these files is annoying. Therefore I am trying to create an entry in my MediaTitles.xml that will pick up the meta data each time. Here is what I have so far: File name: RoboCop Crash and Burn (2001).m4v Metadata goal: Series name: RoboCop: Prime Directives Season: 1 Episode: 4 Current MediaTitles.xml entry: <match> <regex>[\\/]robocop crash and burn</regex> <title>robocop: prime directives</title> <metadata type="TV" name="tvdb">70513</metadata> </match> Unfortunately this does not work. I finds the series info properly but it can not figure out the season/episode info. I think this is because 'crash and burn' ends up getting removed after the regex match? I tried using "<title>robocop: prime directives s1e4</title>" but that didn't work. It ended up searching for a show named "robocop: prime directives s1e4" and thus did not find anything at all. Any ideas? Thanks Les |

MediaTitles.xml is used for searching, so in your case, when it matches the given regex on the filename, then set the title and tvdb information as your've provided, to do the search.
The file will still need a valid episodename or season/episode in the filename as well, or else the specific episode matching will fail. Your filename doesn't have episode information so it can never match a specific episode.

There is no way for me to specify the season/episode info in the MediaTitles.xml entry right? For example:
<match> <regex>[\\/]robocop crash and burn</regex> <title>robocop: prime directives</title> <season>1</season> <episode>4</episode> <metadata type="TV" name="tvdb">70513</metadata> </match> Or something similar? If not, oh well. Thanks Les |
