I also thought I had fixed the issue in the 0.424 release but my approach was not correct. I have this resolved now so I will look it over tonight and put together an xml for you to test with.

I am using this one problem I have found is that when using a client and you go to external application then try and select an apllication it takes you to browsing on the server instead of on the local client for the application you want to launch. I had to clone the application in the sagetvserver for example c:\gamex\gamex.exe. I had to setup a folder in the server called gameex with an executable of gamex.exe.

Yeah, to get around this, i just started editing the menu entries manually to point to the right location.

I will look into this.. Did it browse properly with the previous version?

Can I assume that the Working Directory issue for finding the default files on a client is now fixed?

Thanks for testing guys!

Hi,

I had the working directory issue, and the beta version you posted fixed it for me.

This was on a 64-bit client with a 32-bit server.

As of 3 days ago, out of the blue, all of the "default" menu listings (that were removed) are now showing up in addition to the custom menu listings I created.

I haven't changed anything with settings for months, or anything with the server at all really. (I haven't even accepted the notification that there is a new update to Comskip )

Anyone else experience this ever?

yes. It is fixed in newer versions. Go here and manually install a newer version. http://code.google.com/p/sagetv-adm/downloads/list
i am using 0.424 and no more problems like this since upgrading.

ADM 0.503 released

Note: this is the same version I sent out to a few testers... just making it publicly available.

There are no new features in this release just the following fixes...

- fix for Working Directory issue where it was getting the Server's directory rather than the client (could use a Linux tester on this one)
- fix for Deleted Items coming back issue on Extenders
- fix for Weather in the QLM with Widgets on
- fix for hidden focus on some menu items

Let me know if you run into any issues.

The update fixed my issue.

Truely, thank you. This plug in allows me to address the one main issue I've had with Sage for many versions (namely, the disjointed and poorly laid out menus.)

Dare I say I might like this one more than the Comskip plugin...

Sorry for bringing back an old thread. I'm having this very issue. Where pointing to an external app defaults to the server. I'm running this on a win7 client from a win7 server. Both have ADM installed, as I use ADM on an extender as well. Though the SageTV version is 7.1.9.256 client.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Bobby

ADM - moved dowloads and source from Google Code

Release version 0.504

There are no changes in this version. This change was mode as Google Code will be removing access to download code (already is read only) "soon". The change here is the downloads are now on BinTray and the Source/Wiki is now on GitHub.

There is NO reason to update to this new version unless you are installing a new system.

Is ADM still viable with Sage 64 bit? I'm trying to install the plugin on a fresh 64 bit install, and I'm getting an error:

...FAILED - Resource Download http://dl.bintray.com/opensagetv/sag.../ADM_0.503.zip

I can get to the github repository but I'm not sure what to do from there. I saw the link to the google code archive above but I'm not sure what to download or how to install.

I may need to find the source files and move them to GitHub. I will try to find time later today or tomorrow morning at the latest.

I just checked and these have been moved already. The likely cause is an old Java version.... You need to be on Java 8 or higher.

Weird. I'm on Java 8, Build 311 (just reinstalled today).

I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my java. I can't set any update settings and I can't see the icon in the task bar despite selecting that in options. I've reinstalled and it doesn't help. Sage does seem to run just fine, though.

What status is the ADM plugin in?

If you post the sagetv_0.txt log I can review.

Sorry for the delayed reply...the current status is not installed, so I went to plugins and attempted to install so I could save this from the sagetv_0.log:

   - works with Standard SageTV as well as with Diamond (see Diamond section in the Wiki)

   - ADM Manager is always available from the Main Menu Options menu

   - QLM - Quick Launch Menu - always available from nearly any SageTV screen

   - How it works

     - on initial load ADM will load a dynamic "Standard SageTV" menu item list

     - ADM uses the Standard SageTV "Menu System" to display a dynamic list of user customizable Menu Items

     - the menu Look and Feel is not ADM's - as it uses this from SageTV

     - you can add, delete, hide any Menu Item or even start from scratch (Delete ALL) and build an entire new custom Menu

     - you can Copy existing SageTV or Plugin added Menu Items to create new ADM Menu Items

     - you can Create new Video Folder Browser Menu Items through the ADM Copy mode feature

     - you can Create new File Browser Menu Items through the ADM Copy mode feature

     - if you "mess up" you can always load the default menus and start again

     - the menu items are saved at the client level but can be Exported and Imported from other clients

I looked around in my SageTVPlugins.xml and SageTVPluginsV9.xml, and in the first file I have (under ADM):

Code:
  <PluginType>STVI</PluginType>

  <Package>

    <PackageType>STVI</PackageType>

    <Location>http://dl.bintray.com/opensagetv/sagetv-plugins/adm/ADM_0.503.zip</Location>

    <MD5>1f549f378fac3f9a4bb16e1e658f4cc4</MD5>

  </Package>
In the V9 file I have:

Code:
 <PluginType>STVI</PluginType>

  <Package>

    <PackageType>STVI</PackageType>

    <Location>https://github.com/OpenSageTV/sagetv-plugin-repo/releases/download/1/ADM_0.503.zip</Location>

    <MD5>1F549F378FAC3F9A4BB16E1E658F4CC4</MD5>

  </Package>
If I didn't know better I'd say it looks like my installation is trying to install the V7 version instead of the V9 version for some reason. Maybe something carried over from my wiz.bin? I didn't bring sage.properties over to the new install. In a browser, the V9 link works, but the bintray link gives the 502 error.
