Ugh. I just logged in and noticed the Google/SageTV thing. While this is pretty darn good for SageTV the company, the customers on the other hand... I have a sick feeling in my stomach like it seems many of you do.
I just have a simple question that I'm hoping somebody can answer. I have several licenses and a couple of HD300s like many here. I have a significant investment in SageTV. Does anybody know if current customers will be emailed with info about what is coming for the future or do I need to log in and check the forums every week or so? What I don't want to happen is to come home one day and everything just stop working with NO update or notification.
A number of people I suspect who use Sage don't regularly visit the forums so an official email from SageTV to customers who have bought the software would certainly be appreciated. I know this won't happen right away but when the details are able to be talked about, an official email would be in order IMO. I just really want to know 1) Will my current setup continue to work like it does now when it turns into "GoogleSage"? 2) If not, what exactly is going to happen to existing users and what do we need to do? I don't care (actually I do. LOL) but just let me know if I'm going to have to download progam xyz, change setting www, etc. OR if I need to find a completely different DVR.
Anyway, an official email from Sage once this is able to be talked about is warranted for those who don't check the forums regularly. I can pretty much say with certainty that it is already known what is going to happen to existing customers but they just can't talk about it "yet". When the "yet" has passed, please let us know via email.

I just hope you are being bought to "closely integrate" what you have and know in a Google product and not because Google is trying to get rid of the competition!!!
