Heh, at this point, for me, I'm thinking it might be a foot race between the (mythical and much delayed) HD DirecTiVo and seeing what GoogleTV comes up with, and if Google can get their stuff out the door before the DirecTiVo actually manages to find its way into public release on the street.

I much prefer the versatility that SageTV gives me, particularly when it comes to expandability(11TB of recordings). The existing Sage setup will probably continue to persist for broadcast and previously recorded content, but moving forward, particularly given a likely shift from Cable to satellite, I'm not sure I want to deal in the hassle of buying everything I'd need to reconfigure things to use the analogue hole for recording purposes, given the fact that SageTV is basically an EoL product.

As it is, I'm in no rush to make any changes, so I can wait things out for a while yet. But I'm also not expecting any GoogleTV implementation of Sage's capabilities to be particularly liberal where DRM is concerned either.

Same bit rate as the original. kmttg just removes the Tivo wrapper.
