SageMyMovies shows zero titles

Hello,
I am a bit desperate now. I have SageTV7 with SMM plugin installed. Also MyMovies4 Collection Management database running with some data in it. But whatever I try, when I open My Movies section in Sage, it always says 0 movies available.
Logfiles says it opens an reads something from database, but result is always zero movies in menu. It can be some stupid misconfiguration somewhere, but i do not know what else to try.
Anybody knows what can go wrong in this? Or which way should I be looking?

Collection management needs to be v 4.01 or earlier. 4.02 and above aren't compatible with SMM.

Version 4.01, which i am trying to connect, should be ok then. But it is not.

been there, did that, still not operating.
it does something for a while, but result is file with nothing helpful inside.
(i assume 83 bytes large file MyMoviesDataBetaV1.205.data is the one)

I need a detailed smm log of building the datafile to help At this point.

one thing maybe worth mentioning: software (sage + smm) is one machine, videos are on another, shared over smb. can it affect something? but i am pretty sure these shares are visible to everybody on the network.

Where is mymovies installed at? It needs to be a server or standalone on the sagetv server machine. Doesn't matter where the videos are location. I ask because the connection it is making to mymovies DB from the sagetv the MyMovies database is returning 0 movies ie.

So if you open collection manager on the sagetv machine what do you see? I would guess no titles.

Also it is connection to server "NOTHING" is that right

Both SageTV and MyMovies are on the same machine named "NOTHING"
MyMovies is installed with "Server and Client" option.

Just videos are on another machine named "MONSTER"

When I run Collection manager on that same machine "NOTHING", i see list of movies I imported. That's why i am confused with that "0 movies"

You have to two instances mistakenly running of mymovies sql database or something. As it is connecting fine and no errors are in the log. The mymovies database is just reporting 0 movies for some reason.

nope, just one service SQL Server (MYMOVIES). when I stop it, both Collection manager and SMM starts to complain.

which user account is used by SMM for database access, please? maybe some permissions problem.

thanks for your effort, now at least i know SMM checks database ok.

Shouldn't be a access problem. I can't share which account is used for access as it is a developer account but I can assure you it has full access There would be tons of error logs it it couldn't access. I am still thinking there are 2 databases present on that machine somehow.

Problem almost solved, server management studio breaks the ice
- you are right, access problem is not the issue
- i am right too, database is still the one

i loaded some fresh movies and tv series into collection management and watched what changes. aaaand, some entries did not created rows in tables which SMM scans.
i got the principle, details will follow after some sleep

Ahh I was going to have you try studio but that is over allot of peoples heads Hopefully you can get to the bottom of it

Also of note smm does not work with mymovies tv series only movies.

I am having an issue where new movies being added to database will not launch. The behavior affects all of my client mchines. I can play the movies just fine using tmt, just want start fromm smm.
