Well, I tried the 2wire power supply and it is doing exactly the same thing as before. I guess my power supply wasn't the problem after all.
I'll contact Hauppauge tomorrow and see if they have any ideas about what's going on.

I was in a pinch and wanted the units back up and working. I went to radioshack and picked up a universal wall wart which I configured to match the specs of the HD-PVRs wall warts. It worked great for a day, then i started to get recording failures on both devices. I have since removed that unit and things are working fine. I also swapped the working wall wart onto the other HD-PVR and still continues to run perfect. I wonder if all the issues that plagued the HD-PVRs are just related to the wall warts?
