Copy Flag, DRM Flag, and Cablecard
I'm in the process of switching to cable and am thinking of getting a cablecard and either the prime or Ceton. I was using my STB to check the copy flag (CCI) on some of my channels. The few that I checked were set to 0. I also noticed a field labeled DRM. On the locals it is set to 0 but the other channels it's set to 1. Do I need to worry about the DRM? Most of the posts I've seen only mention the copy flag.
By the way the description of the DRM field from the STB manual is "The digital rights management valid flag bit" Thanks |

I have Comcast and checked a couple of channels. Both have DRM=1. One comes through the Cablecard to SageTV and the other one does not. It looks like the field CCI not= 0 is the important one, not DRM.
