Epg "No Data"? What now?

WAF going down the tubes. What could be wrong with the EPG again. Its worked for months after screwing with it a few months back.

See this post why: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...8&postcount=41

And apply the fix that is in that thread.

I read a bunch of that thread and went back and looked at my EPG, it appeared i was on the last day of the NO DATA and the next morning it would be back to normal so I didn't do anything to fix it and it seems to be fixed. We need some sort of alert system to tell us in advance that there are NO DATA's in the epg so we can fix it before we miss the show recordings. Now i have to go back and figure out what I missed and see if its on hulu and download it to playlater. I also have to figure out how to rename the shows that my wife manually recorded and are listed by the name "No Data". Any ideas how to edit them so we can remember what they are until we get around to watching them?

This happened to me for the first time over this past weekend. Sporadic blocks of "No Data".

I resolved it by applying the fix posted by Andy in his FAQs, i.e., remove the source tied to the guide with the EPG containing "No Data", then adding the source again with a different EPG. Finally removing the source with the different EFG, adding it back with the desired EPG and no more blocks of "No Data".

All,
All 3 of the machines I maintain have no guide after Wednesday at 7pm CT. I just rest the properties in one, and no change. Anyone else having new problems?

False alarm. I installed a plugin I wasn't ready for.

It seems this might be happening again. I wasn't effected initially that I was aware off. But I currently have "No Data" displayed for everything beyond 5/28 at 5:00pm

I've done the recommended sage.properties fix here as well as removed my video source, put in another different source (which also pulled a large amount of no data at the same time) and then put my proper source back but still get no data entries.

I also did a debug log, but I don't see anything in there that stands out. I do see EPG doing a lot of work and cleanup but nothing beyond that.

I'm using 94590 - with DirecTV SF guide data.

5/28 is twelve days away... that's pretty typical (max is 14 days, I believe). If you don't get 5/29 data in the next day or two, then I'd begin to worry... maybe.

Mine doesn't go past 5/27 4:00p and is due to update in three hours at which time I expect I will get 5/28 data...

I'll check again tomorrow. The last time I had checked it (this was v5 or 6 I believe) it used to always have 14 days of data. I was just looking for a show that airs on 5/28 in the evening that I wanted to catch and thought it odd there were 14 days of data. After some searching I found this and got paranoid.

I thought the same thing last night, but that was because I forgot it was the 15th. I've never seen more than 13 days (mostly just 12) in the guide since 7 came out with the custom setting, even though I've set it to 14 on one day of 7.

I have a look ahead of 14 days too and also have "No Data" past 5 PM on the 28th. Noticed this last night and thought it was odd because I was pretty sure that 2 weeks out had been working. I'm in California using guide data from Comcast and DirecTV. Seems like something may be afoot as Zap2It's data goes well into the 30th.

Nothing has changed and there are currently no known EPG problems. The guide data is about 14 days, including about 2 days in the past + about 12 days in the future, give or take a day according to when the EPG data was last updated.

Hmmm, I guess I should of said that I was worried because 28-15=8. Well, it did last night, today I think I MAY have been a little tired, because when I use a calculator, that is NOT the answer I get!

Yup, My mistake. I forced an EPG update this morning and the data shifted forward. Sorry for the false alarm! Thanks for the info Opus. So it is still 14 days of data, just 12 days forward with 2 days historical. I'll keep that in mind.

Epg "No Data"

I turned on the TV yesterday and saw/found no guide data.
Am I the only one seeing this, any suggestions?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks,
-Skybolt

Only Getting Guide Data until July 12, anyone else?

Just noticed my guide data is only going until July 12 at 5pm PDT. That's only 9 days of data, I normally have at least 11 days in the future. Anybody else seeing this or is it just me? Provider is Shaw Direct in Canada (Classic Western Lineup).

Thanks.

Just tried the suggestion of removing the lines in properties file in the other thread, and all the EPG data was reloaded to the same point. I'll give it another day or two to see if it corrects itself, and if it doesn't I'll try reconfiguring the sources from the scratch.
