Can't connect using Dyndns hostname

I have a free dyndns host name that I setup a few years ago because I have a weather station on a server. I can type my host name and reach my weather page, but if I type my hostname http://ronsweather.homeip.net:31099, I can''t connect to my sage server. I can connect through the locator or by typing the wan ip address, but the whole idea of using dnydns is so I can just type the hostname regardless of what the ip address is. Any ideas why I can't connect with my hostname? I do have port 31099 directed to my sage server

Also make sure dyndns is set to the correct IP and not the local IP. Login at the dyndns site and look at IP. There are some up-daters that update the wrong IP to DYNDNS.

I just connected to your server via placeshifter. Make sure you use just ronsweather.homeip.net.

Ok Thanks, I just tried it without the http and port number and it connects.
