WHS 2011 & TV recording

Hello everyone,
Can someone help me solve the following problem, please?;

Context :

Not looking for OTA TV streams, only hd cable or satellite tv streams.
New to WHS 2011... Installed the server on a new ASUS motherboard ASUS F1A75-M PRO FM1 with 8G of RAM with 2 WD 1TB drives and installed Hauppauge 1429 Colossus PCIE HD PVR Record HD.... Installed the drivers for the HD PVR card successfully...
My card gets it's TV input through component cables that are coming from my provider's HD CABLEBOX.....

Problems :

MediaPortal WHS2011 : couldn't get it working, no steams or didn't see or recognize my HD PVR card.

SageTV on WHS2011 : Getting errors in configuring the Source (although the software sees my Hauppauge Colossus)..

Questions:

What I'm I doing wrong, am I missing some steps?
Does anyone have a step-by-step that would be kind enough to share?

First, use the software from hauppage to validate that it's working with their software. Once you get this far, then you can say it's a Sage config problem.
