Video Import Folder

Is there anyway to setup Gemstone to display the folder tree like the default Sage Folders UI. This is the one feature that does not seem to get included with the new UI builds. I can set the flows to use the Video Imports By Folder option, but then the fanarts does not display properly. Just looking for simplicity.

Thanks.

The flows and fanart should work properly with the view set to video imports by folder... If they don't the open an issue with more details and screen grabs so we can fix this.

As well, the sage video folder view with CVF built in should work within gemstone as well.

I have attached some photos to try and explain what is happening. In Gemstone under the default video folder view fanart works as expected. When I use one on the flows and try to view by Video Import Folder, no fanart show for the first few levels.

The first 3 pictures is of the default SageTV7.xml. The remaining two is with Gemstone Sage Flow.

I wanted to show all the drill down levels in Gemstone Sage Flow but could only attach 5 images.

I have the same issue with the other flows. As mentioned, I am just looking for simplicity and really like to arrange my backups into specific folders on the server end.

Hope this helps.

Additional pictures attached showing Gemstone Sage Flow & fanart. Fanart does show but at the final level.

Thanks for responding.

I'm not dodging your request but could you do something where you create a "Flow" for each of the main folder categories (3D, Martial Arts, Videos, Excercise etc...) and then use the built in Folder Filtering in each Flow to limit to those folder(s) you want for each? Seems that the first level of folders is just a main "Folder" grouping and that you would want the movies below to be flattened anyways (less clicks or menu arrows to get to a movie etc..)

This way you go straight into each folder "Flow" and hit the movies on the first screen without the drilling down.

We will definitely look into creating a more "explorer" like Flow just not sure how easy it will be.

J

PS - My movies are not "3D" just trying to show you an example with what I have.

I like jortons suggest but also curious as to what fanart you would want to see at the folder level?

@ ldl72 - Have you tried the "360" Flow Type with the View set to "Video Imports By Folder"?

I don't have my movies organized this way so I can't test.

I will try all suggestions and report back later. Thanks for the support and keeping our interest peeked with SageTV.

Edit.... I created the two flows as suggested (3D Movies and Movies). The 3D Movies flow worked okay but the Movies flow did not show any fanart and froze (the video list did not populate). For the Movies flow, when I set the view type to Movies it worked.

I believe the problem with the Movies flow that I created is due to the explorer style setup that I have within the folders.
