Freeview reception stinks; thinking of DVB-S2 but wary

So, I continue to have issues with Freeview as I am on the fringes of the Sandy Heath transmitter; I am going to take advice about strengthening the signal that plays havoc with my HDHomeruns (from time to time) but never my TV tuners (who knows why!)?

I have a low power, intel atom 3Gb server which uses these network tuners today without issue.

Thinking of adding a DVB-S2 USB tuner to the system. How much overhead does this typically cause on the system guys?

Intend to use it for HD and SD Freesat recordings as a primary tuner. Also, what happens to the guide when you have 2 separate tuner pools I wonder and how do you merge them?

The only other option is REALLY expensive. Elgato have a network tuner for DVB-S2 but its 200 EUROS and thats for a single tuner.

Bit stuck on the best route forward here.........

I had DVB-S & DVBV-T together for a while. If you use Stephane's importer, you just match up the channel name, they just get merged - ie you can't really tell you have 2 sources. At the time I had a better DVB-S signal, so had the tuner merit set to favour that one. I
