Install on Windows Server 2012?

Is it possible to install Sage on a PC running Windows Server 2012? Has anybody tried this?

Can't you just Install the regular windows Sagetv Server ... I believe you do not need the WHS version.

You don't need the WHS version, BUT if you use the WHS version and install it by just running the MSI directly, you'll get the WHS version (Without the dashboard start/stop tab, as that doesn't work in the new WHS), but you'll also have access to a Placeshifter license. May be worth it to you. Otherwise just run the standard windows server install.

Server 2012 is NOT Windows Home Server (v1 or 2011). It is the current server OS that was release with Windows 8.

I too am curious about this.

The bigger question is will the BDA workaround from W2k8 work with W2k12? I spent a few solid hair pulling days trying to get BDA working on Win 2k11 SBS.

Does anyone know if BDA isn't already included in 2012?

EDIT: Answered that quick... No, it isn't included. Yes, there's a workaround: http://www.tenniswood.co.uk/technolo...s-server-2012/

If you want to use server 2012 for sage, why don't you just run a VM of windows 7/8 with sage running on that? Unnecessarily complicated, but wouldn't that work as long as your hardware is compatible?

No, I am not moving to Sever 2012. It's not compelling at this point, I use Driverbender and storage places still needs work if it ever will be better than drivebender. I will say though that running storage places in a VM would be a pain and I would always be concerned about my data.
