Recordings Not Showing

I had to reinstall windows on my machine and my old recordings are not showing up. This is the first time this has happened. Windows 7 before and after, and recording directory is the same as it was before. When I record a new show, that shows up, but all the other files in the same directory are not showing. Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

Are you running Sage V7? It has metadata in the files and it should automatically read the metadata into the wiz.bin database. Is it possible that your old shows are showing up in Videos (or movies) instead?

Are the new recordings going to the same directory the old recordings are in? Did you add the directory that the old recordings are in to the new Sage installation? Are the old recordings on a different machine? Does Sage have permission to see those files? Need more info to troubleshoot.

Running Sage v7. New recordings are going to the same directory and can be seen under recordings unlike the old recordings, so added the existing recording directory to the new sage install under video recording directories. Only one server so both old and new recordings on same machine. How would I determine if sage has permission to see those files, have never done that before.

Also not showing under videos even if I add the folder as an import folder.

Did all of your old TV recordings become Archived? Take a look for Archived recordings and they are probably all there.

not sure how this happened, but somehow I did not have access to the files and needed to take ownership of the files under security. once I changed that it showed up in sage.
