Imported recordings not showing in recordings when named correctly, worked in 6.0
I've been using 6.0 for a few months. Got into the habit of being able to download Xvid compressed HDTV video to save space and keep the listing and be able to play from the "SageTV Recordings".
I just tried it for the first time after installing the 6.1.3RC and can't get the newly imported videos to show up in the recordings section. I have tried multiple files (6 to be exact). All my previous recordings I have done this in the past to are showing up correctly. My method is to normally download the .avi, rename the filename to the same name as the recorded .mpg and placed it into the import directory. I used to be able to select "Refresh Imported Media" and both .avi and .mpg versions would show up in the recordings. I would then delete the recording that is linked to the .mpg. I haven't changed anything in my steps. I tried shutting down sage and restarting it. Rebooting. If I rename the .mpg, the episode disappears. I can see and play the imported videos from the "Imported Videos" section But it would be nice to see and select them from the recordings screen. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I need to change to do this in 6.1? Should I report this as bug? Thanks, Robert |

I also noticed that if I try to place the .avi file in the data directory then start SageTV. The .avi file will be deleted!
Any ideas? |

I would file a bug report -- I was curious about the results when I tried it & asked about it, but I didn't have any test files deleted. Mine were just ignored.

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one unable to get imported files into the recordings list.
I only had the file deleted if I tried copying it to the same folder with the .mpg. |

I had this same issue! I imported about 40 HD shows from an old install. They all show up, but it also put about 15 shows in my recorded directory. The shows it added were all archived, and were show I have never recorded. Chad
