Where does the default SageTV EPG data come from
I thought the data came from Zap2it but I got a message that a new channel was available last night and that channel is not on the Zap2it website.
Just curious, Chuck

Zap2it supplies the listings for Shaw Direct Canada, which is what the Sagetv EPG pulls listings from for that service

My issue is that the other day, I got a message saying that a new channel was on my lineup. I added it to the guide, the guide populated and it plays fine. However, if I go to Zap2it website for the same digital cable provider, that channel doesn't exist. So it doesn't appear that SageTV gets its guide data from Zap2it. That is why I was asking the question. Thanks, Chuck

In any case, the way to get the website fixed is to contact Zapt2it directly (if you haven't already).

It's really not a big deal. I just thought that the website should match what my guide data had, but undoubtedly it doesn't have to. Thanks for all the feedback, Chuck
