Placeshifter, SageDCT, and timebar
I've just started trying to use placeshifter on a win7 box with recordings from sagedct.
And like the thread, when I click on the timebar, it jumps backwards incorrectly. When searching the forums, the only thread I could find was http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56219 but it's really old. Does anybody know of a solution other than converting all the videos or using the public IP address? Is there a plugin to fix it? Something to do in sagedct to change how the file is recorded? Or is it something I just have to live with? THanks! rwc |

It may actually be an issue with the recordings themselves. Remuxing them will likely fix any timeline errors - no need to actually transcode formats, just remux it into a different container (mkv, mp4, etc).

It seems to happen on anything I recorded with my hdhr prime (and sagedct)...what's the easiest way to try remuxing? (And is there a way to automate it?)
Thanks! rwc |

anyway to easily demux and remux in one shot / with one commandline? or do you have to split and then join?
any experience with ProjectX - looks like it might do it in one shot? lately a lot of comcast streams seem to be recording badly from sagedct/hdhr prime with VLC enabled... not sure what has changed. suggestions? |

i haven't tried the beta, but would the sagedct w/ ffmpeg possibly solve the problem?

In the meantime I used PVAStrumento successfully:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/PVAStrumento Very easy to use, fast and worked perfectly on all the bad video recordings. Under Video and Audio options uncheck the option to "split" when video or audio format changes... Apparently this happens a lot at commercials. |

How do you use the public IP address to play a video?
