Convert a recording to a video import

I've had a major failure and had to start from scratch.

I moved a bunch of recording movies to my video import directory.

I completely reinstalled SageTV and deliberately did not restore the old corrupted Wiz.bin or the properties.

Somehow the new installation has found the recordings in the media import directory and decided they are recordings rather than imported videos.

Damn thing is too clever.

Is there anyway to get SageTV to remove something as a recording without actually deleting the file?
