Backing up Recordings
Last week I lost my recordings drive. Not a big deal. Out of 40+ recordings there were only a couple I cannot get again. But it got me to thinking about how to back up that drive for future crashes. I saw a special that drivepop was having for lifetime backup of your active system. http://www.drivepop.com/last-chance-lifetime/. This is cloud backup, not cloud storage. It only backs up drives that are currently active on your system. If you disconnect a drive, the backup of that drive will go away after 30 days. Sounds like it's just what I need.
I thought I'd ask here if anybody has any recommendations for other cloud services that they use for backing up recordings or video libraries? Thanks, Bobby?

If it's only for backing up recordings, a good, cost effective and efficient method is to use: (1) another internal SATA drive or (2) external USB 3.0 drive.

I think you both are probably right, seeing as the recording files are pretty large.
Thank you gentlemen. Bobby

Is a backup really needed? This is probably one of those times when mirroring the drive with raid makes more sense than moving files around.
