Java version for SageTV v9

Hi all,

I've installed SageTV 7 and upgraded to v9 - everything works great!

I'm using Java v1.6, which was installed during the SageTV original v7 instalation.

When I install Java v7 or v8, I can NOT start SageTV anymore...I get a popup window with:
Could not find jvm.dll.
Please install Java Runtime Environment 1.4

Any idea what's wrong? and how to fix it?

Thanks,
Oren.

Problem solved!

Uninstalled SageTV & all Java versions I installed.
Used the Beta Windows installer for SageTV v9 which installed Java v7.
Everything works now.

Oren.

The issue would have been the Microsoft c++ 2010 runtime was needed which is included in the new installer

Or perhaps he installed 64bit Java instead of 32bit? That was my problem...
