Placeshifter on Win 7 does not work but does on Win 8/Server 2012R2

I have tried installing both V7 and V9 on a Win7 Virtual Machine connecting to my new Linux V9 server and it fails with the below errors in the server log. The screen never changes from the "connecting" screen.

However, I have tried the same thing from Win 8.1 and Win Server 2012R2 VM's with the V9 installer for placeshifter to the SAME V9 Linux Server and it connects fine.

I am new to troubleshooting Placeshifter issues.....any thoughts of where to look?

PS: I have checked the firewall and it's setup properly by the installer.
