capture device recommendation

Hi,

I am needing some advice on what product will work with SageTv.
It needs to be USB and at least 1 tuner though more is better.

I am running Win7 64-bit
SageTv version 7
Over the air (no cable or satellite).
No space for internal card - needs to be USB 2.0 or 3.0

I was thinking MediaMVP-HD or WinTV-HVR-1955??

Can you please point me to a Hauppauge device that would work for me?
Thanks,
Regan

You mention "at least 1 tuner". I've encountered bandwidth problems when trying to stream from multiple USB devices at the same time. Highly dependent on the USB controller chipset and can be very finicky.

Have you considered a networked tuner such as SiliconDust HdHomeRun? 2 tuners per gadget. I'm currently running a server with 2 HDHRs (4 tuners) for OTA; great results.

I would second the recommendation for the HDHomeRun tuners. Very reliable and easy to set up.

I've had a number of Hauppauge products over the years and they always seem to be quirky in some way or another.
