Ceton PCIe6 Tuners Disappearing with WMC but not SageTV

I realize that this is the SageTV forum, but I have both SageTV (primary DVR) and Windows Media Center (backup DVR), both with a Ceton PCIe6 card. SageTV never has this problem, but every so often, Windows Media Center gets a "no tuners available" error and the Ceton Diagnostics cannot see the tuner card. Therefore, a reset is required and everything works again. The strange thing is that this particular card and WMC computer was my old SageTV server for the past 3-4 years and it never had this problem (with the same hardware and Windows installation). Anyone know how to fix this? I can't seem to find anything definitive at thegreenbutton.tv or other places. Maybe I would be better off with a 2nd Sage server as a backup DVR.

On a related note, I just went on a brief online shopping trip looking for a new Ceton Tuner, looks like it has become vapor at this point. NewEgg and Amazon both are out of stock with no ETA for restock. Will have to wait and see, but somehow I suspect that they're not going to do another production run.

Ceton is dead. I'm not sure who is even left there. They seemed to lose a lot of staff after their joint effort with Gibson fell apart. That was the end for the company, with the lawsuit another nail in the coffin.

I kind of thought their commercial line of products (e.g., for the hospitality industry) would keep them afloat, but who knows whats going on there. Rumor has it that the remaining core team at Ceton went to start the Axiim wireless speaker company, which similarly looks doomed to fail.

I'd suggest that you swap them out for HDHR prime tuners, but I'm not sure how much life that company has either. Maybe 2 years?
