service vs exe - delete & set watched

I changed my admin user on my SageTV server (Windows 10) and forgot to change the credentials in the service control app. So the service was failing to start. I didn't realize it until later.

exe mode - the delete menu is classic style

service mode - the delete menu is the delete & set watched style

To be honest I prefer the old style but it's not a biggie.

Their are 2 property files: sage.properties and sageservice.properties
In standalone exe mode, sage only uses the first one for everything.
In service mode, some data is stored in one and some data is stored in the other.
Because of this, you can end up with Sage using different settings and behaving differently, depending on which mode you start it.
I'm not sure which setting is affecting your delete menu, but this is most likely the reason for what you are seeing.

Check if toggling this setting does what you want:

Detailed Setup > Customize > Use Enhanced Recording Deletion Dialog
