Moving wiz.bin to new server...lost Watched history

I'm testing the "cutover" to my new v9 server (running in the unRAID Docker) from my v7 server on Windows. Everything seems fine except I've lost my Watched history.

To cutover, I stopped the Docker and copied all recordings and my v7 wiz.bin from the Windows server to unRAID. After I start the Docker up, it takes a few minutes before I can connect with a client (I assume the wiz.bin is being upgraded to the v9 format).

All my recordings show up. My Favorites are also there...but my Watched history is gone.

I'm pretty sure I've moved my wiz.bin to a new server before and preserved Watched history, but I think it was always to the same version of Sage (and always on Windows). Does that matter? Losing the history wouldn't be the end of the world but it would definitely be nice to keep the 8 years of history I have if possible.

The history is in the wiz.bin, so it should be moving over. How are you knowing that the history is gone?

Well, I definitely did not look closely enough before I posted.

Watched history is there for recordings. But all my imported TV and movies have been reset to unwatched...maybe this is because the paths to the video files are different than they are on my Windows server?

But because it is just Watched status for imported videos that is affected, I can easily and quickly set it again...so it's probably not worth troubleshooting.

Looking forward to finally completing the cut over to the v9 unRAID Docker!

My watched history is also not showing up? Copied wiz.bin from my old whs setup to my new linux docker setup. Is there a way to force Sage to rebuild the missing watched history from the wiz.bin?

I could be wrong, but I thought that the .properties files had an X-Watched field that was set to "true" when a movie was watched. I thought that Phoenix would look at that during an import and set the Watched status accordingly. I haven't used this in a very long time, so it could be broken, but I thought I added this many years back.

Hmm...I only copied over the raw video files, but not any of the .properties files. Figured the wiz.bin had that information...oh well, .properties files are all gone so guess I'll have to set it manually.

Well, that's too bad... you should never delete the .properites files... they serve as your backup to the Wiz.bin.

Wiz.bin does store that info. If you lost it, you must have a corrupted file or you copied it to the wrong place. Do you still have your old backup wiz.bin?

My bad...I do have all the .properties files in place. Checked the files and there is no 'watched' setting, so I guess it is in the wiz.bin. Not sure why it's missing then?

I have only ever seen that property get set when I manually told BMT to export .properties files from the web interface. When I know I'm about to disrupt things, I always do that first so I don't lose where I left off in some of my more "backlogged" archived shows.

Watched status and progress information is stored in wiz.bin. However, Sage treats recordings and imports a little differently. For imports, if Sage can't find them (because they moved, got deleted, or because they are stored on an external drive or network share that is not connected), the history gets cleared. For recordings, Sage won't clear the history unless it can see the drive/share/mount point where the file was supposed to be and the recording is no longer there.

Thanks for the clarification...that explains the missing watched settings for imported shows.
