Importing photos from iPhone to Windows PC

I've always just plugged my iPhone into my PC and used the built in import function of Windows to import only the new photos to a folder on my media server. I have it setup to import them into folders by date taken. Since upgrading to Windows 10 the import feature no longer works reliably. Sometimes it will tell me there are no new photos or it will re-import all of the photos as if they are all new.

I was just wondering how you guys were importing photos and videos?

iCloud photo sync is probably your best option. It should automatically send your photos to the cloud when you are on wifi and they have a Windows version as well so you can just run that and it should also get all of your photos.

Google photos is another option although I think you may have to run the app on your iPhone occasionally.
