Looking for Good Web Host Provider
Hello - does anyone know of any good web host providers where I can set up a forum similar to this forum to support a product in my business? I know how to set up a forum but the problem is my web host provider support has gone downhill.
So I'm wondering for all those out there who have their own websites, who they use to host it? |

I actually host my small business on my internet connection at home (its low traffic nothing crazy) but i've used godaddy for a previous employer without issue as well as Amazon Web services. Both are great!

I use https://arvixe.com/. Good value. They have the standard open source installation scripts. Uses CPANEL, similar to everyone else, so no big learning curve.

I have a dedicated server at Big Brain Global and they're great. But I think that and Cloud is all they do now. So if you're looking for shared hosting or a VPS, they won't be able to help.
You might want to check out WebHostingTalk.com. Lots of discussions and actual customer reviews if you can slog through all of the other stuff. And there are always deals in their "marketplace" area. But if it's a bad host, they'll tell you. |

If you have modest needs then Google Domains works well.
You get your domain managed by google and you can integrate email into gmail. The have a number of free web hosting options if your needs are simple or you can link to external hosting providers if desired.

Linode.com is an option as well, since I last looked, it seems they have a $5/month option which gives you a "1 core" CPU, 1GB RAM, 20GB of SSD storage(includes OS install), 1TB/month of transfer, 40GB/s in, and 1,000 GB/s out.
I know several people who use them, and the systems are stable, about the only thing that should normally knock them offline is something you do to them(or allow to be done) as an admin. |
