Web UI for miniclient management

My system has lots of HD200 and HD300 extenders and I also use SageTV Placeshifter and the Android Client on a MiBox. I also currently have a number of SageTV servers.

One thing that I would find useful is to be able to manager my extenders, and perhaps other types of clients/miniclients from the web UI. Some of this is available through the web UI and some is available through other Plugins, like SageTCPServer.

What do I mean by manage?
  • List an inventory of all clients/miniclients that have ever connected to the server with IP, MAC and friendly name
  • For the above list whether they are connected, if so to what server, and list the default connection server on startup
  • Rename the extender to a friendly name (this is already in the web UI)
  • Turn off a connected extender (this is also available in the web UI for some/all client types)
  • Turn on an extender and have it connect to the current server
  • Reboot an extender
  • Power cycle an extender using a URL - this would have to be done using non-Sage means such as a web-connected power switch
  • Turn off all extenders
  • Turn on all extenders
  • Send a message to some or all extenders
  • Apply Gemstone configuration file XYZ to a specific client or all clients

I may try to see if I can figure out how to do this given that Slugger left us the capability to modify the web UI using Groovy.

Is there any other functionality that people would like to see that I have missed?
