ah, ok. I was wondering if it was a ready-for-Sagetv device, like the HDHomerun is.

I don't use OpenDCT, so I'm wondering if there's a menu item for SageTV like there is in the HDHomerun software. Think I'll call Hauppauge tomorrow and ask them

I think it not like that HDHomeRun device as it not standalone it req a server to save the recording I do believe the Hauppauge CordCutter is 100% standalone media server with build in Wi-Fi then you just add External USB Harddrive or SSD or SD Flash drive, then you install Hauppauge myTV app which work with iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets, the AppleTV, Roku boxes and the Amazon FireTV box. how well does the MyTV recording app work - free? no subscription costs? Any idea if it would work when you're not at your home-IP Address, aka when you’re traveling?

There no subscription costs at all as the EPG is pull directly from the TV station so you limited 24 to 36 hours of EPG data. Depend on what you mean by traveling 1: Taking the device with your on your road travel trip yes it has in own build-in Wi-fi hotspot to stream two device at same time. 2: If your refer to streaming over the internet it doesn't support that, You have used NextPVR or Plex for that. |

If take the cordcutter with you then yes the device doesn't need a internet connection to work just give power and set it up as Wi-Fi then it act as local router server and your all done just a matter of connection any mobile device Android or iOS that has myTV install on it. |
