Sage Not Waking Up
I've been bedeviled over the last week with Sage v9 (Windows 10) suddenly not working properly. Part of the problem seems to stem from Comcast, my cable provider, mucking around with channel assignments in preparation for their Bay Area DOCSIS 3.1 rollout.
I thought I had resolved the problems (thanx again, Fred). Unfortunately, now I'm dealing with Sage not waking up to record shows. Example: I saw that it was going to record a show off of channel 1044 (my local CW affiliate) last night at 8 PM. Yet no recording was made, and the log shows Sage going into deep sleep at 18:34:44.140 and not waking up again until 21:17:12.564. Here are what I think are the relevant lines from the log file: Mon 10/30 18:34:44.129 [Scheduler@1ddb402] Scheduler awoken Mon 10/30 18:34:44.134 [Scheduler@1ddb402] Scheduler.updateSchedule() called manual=[ManualRecord[A[34069352,34059880,"Renovation Road",87317@0401.07:30,30,T] time=Fri 4/1 7:30:00.000 dur=0:30:00], ManualRecord[A[34219540,34056010,"Texas Flip N Move",87317@0408.06:30,60,T] time=Fri 4/8 6:30:00.000 dur=1:00:00], ManualRecord[A[43645648,43644796,"Windy City Flip",87317@0705.23:00,60,T] time=Wed 7/5 23:00:00.000 dur=1:00:00]] schedules={} scheduleRandSize=16303 Mon 10/30 18:34:44.140 [Scheduler@1ddb402] Scheduler starting wait... Also, is there a way to keep track of what Sage >>should've<< recorded? The recording schedule view in the UI only shows stuff that's to be recorded in the future. I'd like to be able to see what was supposed to have been recorded so I can see if there's a pattern in what's being missed. Right now, for all I know, it's just not recording anything. - Mark |

I can confirm that Sage is not waking up; it was set to record a show at 6 PM, but only started recording it when I manually work up the computer.
Is there some setting in Sage that I need to check/change to get it to wake up? |

Ah! Thanx for the clarification.
I >>think<< I solved the problem by changing the Sage service from Automatic Start (Delayed) back to plain Automatic Start. I'd made the change to Delayed based on some advice on how to solve a different problem involving how Sage interacts with OpenDCT, which I also use. But the change to Delayed was an optional one, so I'll see if reverting it continues to allow the machine to wake up. |
