Has anyone played around with this?

I have. It was terrible. But I also hate all motion interpolation on TVs.

I hated motion assistance at first, complaining about the soap opera effect like everyone else, but not anymore. I hate frame jitter, especially on 24 fps movies. There's nothing 'nostalgic' for me with regard to slow framerate video, and with the amazing advancements in viewing devices, good old 24 fps is just starting to look bad (my opinion of course).
