HDhomerun App plays DRM on AndroidTV ...

The HDHomerun APP both with DVR or no DVR now plays DRM channels on Android-TV devices and various google store certified phones and tablets.... also time-shift works even if you do not have the DVR

very cool if this could be integrated somehow into sagetv client on android/shield as this would give access to DRM channels

If it has DRM then you can't integrate it. Even if anybody did then it would be against the license agreement. Not a good place to be from a legal standpoint for the person that would do it!

What would happen if you used the HDHomerun APP to record a DRM show and them put that file in an import directory for SageTV. Just like I do with PlayON recordings.

Would SageTV be able to play the file?

This leveraged WMC to bring content into SageTV;

I would think something similar is within reach - in regard to HDhomerun software.

Couldn't the SageTV Android client hand off playback to another app - if fact, doesn't this already happen as Exoplayer or IJKplayer are used to play back video files on Android? So why couldn't it hand off play back to an app that could play DRMed files?
