What should I be doing differently for shows 2 work correctly on Fork of mini client
Troubleshooting the Android Client. (moved from wrong thread)
I run an FFMPEG covert outside of Sagetv and with this new android client I get some odd results when playing them. When I start playing them I cannot skip forward or go back, if I try, the video restarts from the beginning.. No matter where I am in the show. I compress them to MP4 files using this string. "c:\cv\ffmpeg -n -i" I need to compress them so I can transfer them over cellular network to my motorhome while traveling. 1 GB vs 6 GB per hour of show. Cell data is expense! Should I be converting them to something else, or use a different transcode string? How do I troubleshoot this on the new client? I tried changing from the EXOclient, to ? (I cannot remember) nothing changed. Still goes back to the beginning if I happed to forget and try to skip or go back.. The wife is about to kill me if I do it again.. Below is the version I am using. I tried older versions. If I go back to a version from 2017 then they appear to work without going back to the beginning. ffmpeg version 4.3.1-2020-11-19-essentials_build-www.gyan.dev Copyright (c) 2000-2020 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 10.2.0 (Rev5, Built by MSYS2 project) configuration: --enable-gpl --enable-version3 --enable-static --disable-w32threads --disable-autodetect --enable-fontconfig --enable-iconv --enable-gnutls --enable-libxml2 --enable-gmp --enable-lzma --enable-zlib --enable-libsrt --enable-libssh --enable-libzmq --enable-avisynth --enable-sdl2 --enable-libwebp --enable-libx264 --enable-libx265 --enable-libxvid --enable-libaom --enable-libopenjpeg --enable-libvpx --enable-libass --enable-libfreetype --enable-libfribidi --enable-libvidstab --enable-libvmaf --enable-libzimg --enable-amf --enable-cuda-llvm --enable-cuvid --enable-ffnvcodec --enable-nvdec --enable-nvenc --enable-d3d11va --enable-dxva2 --enable-libmfx --enable-libgme --enable-libopenmpt --enable-libopencore-amrwb --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libtheora --enable-libvo-amrwbenc --enable-libgsm --enable-libopencore-amrnb --enable-libopus --enable-libspeex --enable-libvorbis --enable-librubberband libavutil 56. 51.100 / 56. 51.100 libavcodec 58. 91.100 / 58. 91.100 libavformat 58. 45.100 / 58. 45.100 libavdevice 58. 10.100 / 58. 10.100 libavfilter 7. 85.100 / 7. 85.100 libswscale 5. 7.100 / 5. 7.100 libswresample 3. 7.100 / 3. 7.100 libpostproc 55. 7.100 / 55. 7.100 Hyper fast Audio and Video encoder -Bill Here is the version that I found doesn't make the skipping an issue. Its extremely old. I am going to start trancoding with this version again. I wish I knew enough about this to be able to troubleshoot using the client. -Bill C:\CV>ffmpeg -version ffmpeg version N-88555-g6ea7711532 Copyright (c) 2000-2017 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 7.2.0 (GCC) configuration: --enable-gpl --enable-version3 --enable-sdl2 --enable-bzlib --enable-fontconfig --enable-gnutls --enable-iconv --enable-libass --enable-libbluray --enable-libfreetype --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libopenjpeg --enable-libopus --enable-libshine --enable-libsnappy --enable-libsoxr --enable-libtheora --enable-libtwolame --enable-libvpx --enable-libwavpack --enable-libwebp --enable-libx264 --enable-libx265 --enable-libxml2 --enable-libzimg --enable-lzma --enable-zlib --enable-gmp --enable-libvidstab --enable-libvorbis --enable-cuda --enable-cuvid --enable-d3d11va --enable-nvenc --enable-dxva2 --enable-avisynth --enable-libmfx libavutil 56. 0.100 / 56. 0.100 libavcodec 58. 1.100 / 58. 1.100 libavformat 58. 0.102 / 58. 0.102 libavdevice 58. 0.100 / 58. 0.100 libavfilter 7. 0.101 / 7. 0.101 libswscale 5. 0.101 / 5. 0.101 libswresample 3. 0.101 / 3. 0.101 libpostproc 55. 0.100 / 55. 0.100
