Can BMT help with proliferation of files losing metadata?
From time to time (and it seems to be happening even more in the past few weeks), batches of recordings (most recently 68 of them) suddenly are listed with "no data" as the show name. I can laboriously use various methods to edit the info to paste metadata back in, but it's really tedious. BMT, when asked simply to scan all the "no data" recordings doesn't find anything. I think that's because it is looking in the databases for shows actually named "no data," and of course there aren't any. Is there a way to have it look at the filename, which are things like:
ParksandRecreation-Gryzzlbox-2296698-0.avi
and parse those into the show title (Parks...), the episode name (Gryzzlbox) and then put in the correct data?
I can manually type those into the BMT metadata search for one file at a time, but that's even more tedious than the other way I've been doing it, which is to pull up my saved .properties file and using the web interface to paste in the data - at least what I can parse from .properties.
