So I take it that this is an Android device and you can hack it and install Android apps.

Is that the case?

When I first saw this on the Channels DVR forum, I thought it was super cool. Then I realized that I have a 10" Samsung tablet in a holder that I can put pretty much anywhere in the house or garage. The tablet cost more (just over $100), but it's ... 10"

I like the one I got from Walmart for $49.88 dollars also has a fast charger dock for the phone.

That's extremely interesting on a "lets see if it works" level. However I can't imagine anyone actually finding it useful in real life.

It would be much more convenient to watch SageTV on your phone that this device. Better yet would be a tablet with a larger screen, or a TV in your bedroom (although it seems to be in the guy's kitchen).

My wife wants a TV in the kitchen to watch football. I don't think she will be satisfied with this option however.

I am looking at this as an interesting UI device for my Control4 Home Automation system rather than as a SageTV miniclient.

Yeah not great for SageTV client ... SageTV Client is not made to be easily manipulated on small screens..

I just replaced my charger on my Home office desk with it.... Use it for Autmation Charging and watching news etc....
