sage.PlaybackException: ERROR (-4.0x80004005)
I'd like to know why Sage client (Windows 10 or Windows 11 64 bit) with LAV Filter installed (of various vintages around the house) all have a problem with certain x264 files, regardless of how much horsepower they have.
I updated the kitchen PC with latest LAV install I could fine 0.77.1. Dis not help. All PCs will play the files just fine in VLC or Windows media player. And I do that quite a bit, would just be nice to not have to manually go back and set Watched flag in SageTV. I'll admit not really up to speed on all of it. But these logs seem to be about the inability to render the video in the last three attempts on the most powerfull of PCs that have SageTV client V9.2.6.976 installed. Code:

The usual recommendation is to get ahold of Graph Studio.
Render the media file and it will show you a "graph" of how the media player is being decoded and played back. If it works well, match your settings in Sage to what works (eg. pick the same decoders/renderers). If it doesn't work well in Graph Studio, you can manually build a graph by selecting different decoders and renderers. Find the combination that works for your PC and try to set the settings accordingly. Have you disabled the SageTV renderer via the registry key? That's usually the first thing I do to get things working. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Frey Technologies\Common\DirectShow\EnableSageTVStreamDemux = 0 for Off 1 for On. |

This has worked on the strongest and weakest of performers. One source plays but I cannot skip. That is good enough. Many thanks |
