I tried a second show and it looked the same. I have reinserted the bracket and its at 80% transcoded.. so at least the Thermometer & Percentage is back working on the status page.

JFYI. the new transcode has the same issue with the bracket added back, only thing that changed is the status updates are working again.

For some reason you are not using the new profiles ...if you look at my transcoder log above it shows the preset being used.... -f mp4 -preset superfast ..
Maybe with all the edits to the profiles yours are not correct ... can you post them from your SageTVProperties.

I just added Josh's Media Parser as a test. First test after installing it made no difference playing the Trans show.
I'm going to revert my prop file back to 48 hours ago. Then add your profiles back in.

OK, I added your profiles again, this time I pasted them into notepad++ first to make sure there were no extra characters... and of course the up arrows got by again.. But the thermo was still working without the brackets this time!
And I could see the presets in the TC log this time. I canceled it to get rid of the up arrows. And am restarting the transcode. I have been pulling out all the old profiles, but they keep getting put back. Like the old MPEG ones and PSP etc. -Bill

I have been doing it like that in the favorites since yesterday for testing, but that starts the transcode immediately on that slow pc, which in theory could effect other shows recording at the same time. I did the batch file thing so I could run them overnight after the last of the primetime shows were finished recording. And I really liked that as I could run it on an almost new I5 6 core 12 thread pc I use as my desktop, it transcodes at about double the speed of my sage pc.

After all this. The transcoding seems to work flawlessly but the newly created shows will not play. They come up like they are going to play but no video shows up on the windows client. I am attaching what sagetv says the new file is. And a screen shot of where it trys to play but doesn't. I have tried two different presets with the same results on different shows (i am using shorter shows)
Hard to believe this. The show plays find in windows movie/tv app and also VLC. I have also uploaded a screen shot of the VLC media info for it.

That didn't change it. Is there something that configures the client side instead of the server side like some plugins need?
