Question Sage 2.2.7

I was using SageTV 2.1 for a while and recently decided to update to 2.2.8. BAD IDEA! Lots of crashes and playback/recording issues wich I never had with 2.1 (Maby It was something I did?) I want to give 2.2.7 a try before I go back to Sage 2.1. Anyone have a link to 2.2.7?

Since the 2.2.8 codebase is probably being carried forward, you may want to troubleshoot this with the latest version. Any more details?

I would also like to get 2.2.7.

I have that version working fine on my PC (don't have the installation exe anymore though), but when trying to install 2.2.8 on another computer, I have display issues.

I'm wondering if it's just with this version. If I had 2.2.7, I could give that a shot.

*Im using the Sage MC 16x9 stv
*SageTV 2.2.8
*WinTV PVR 150
*nVidia Decoders

At random times during a recording, sage will just freeze. Then I have to ctrl+alt+del my way out of the situation

3 out of 10 times when I try to start live tv, I just get a black screen and no audio

What version of Java are you using? What version of DirectX9 are you using (and what renderer are you using)? Are you using the NVDVD decoders with software NVPP? There could have been an issue introduced for the 150 since that is so new. If that is the case you may have to roll back and wait for the next version.

Arrow Details v2.0

Im using DX9, overlay renderer (MX4000 series is not good for VMR9), Im using the NVDVD 2.0 decoder thatcame with my video card, and Java....the latest free one haha! I have been meaning to Re-Install Windows XP anyway so if that won't fix it I'll be back

Wonder if maybe a newer version of nvDVD is needed, possibly?

with 2.2.8 i get 4-5 second pauses as sage detects one show ending and buffers for the next.

not a big deal but one i didn't have with any other versions but like others have mentioned my pc is ripe for a wipe and reload.

Everyone that is having this problem, have you checked your CPU usage when this happens? That is usually what occurs when CPU usages hits 100%. I've just been wrestling with Sage service hitting 100% due to my PVR-USB2 and, apparently, USB conflicts.
