Auto-connect to server

Can the mac placeshifter auto-connect to my server, sparing me that dreaded selection box?

yes, there has been at least one other thread on running placeshifter to connect directly to a server. When I get a moment, I'll see if I can search it out. It should not be platform specific.

Do you mean that one? Shouldn't there be a more elegant solution?

Thats what I would have suggested. (it works, I use it - well, on Linux) you could probably make it more elegant by bundling it into a batch file with an icon etc but i'm not windows guru so can't tell you how sorry

Put the following in an applescript and save it. You can launch from script.

B

Code:
do shell script "java -cp \"/Applications/SageTV Placeshifter.app/Contents/Resources/Java/MiniClient.jar\" sage.miniclient.MiniClient ip.address.of.server"
