Problems with 6.1

I have been running the beta for the whole cycle but I now just ran across 2 problems when I installed 6.1.

1) Setting opengl=true in SagePlaceshifter.properties does not seem to stick. I will set this value before starting placeshifter and thenI will have the issue where the OSD will not stay in front of the video. If I then exit placeshifter and check the properties file it is set to false now. Am I missing a library or something? I am currently running Ubuntu Feisty desktop with nvidia-glx installed don't know if this matters too much.

2)Trying to do a scan for QAM channels will not complete when running it from the placeshifter on the server. I get to about channel 71 and then the sage screensaver will come on, I get out of the screensaver and it is asking me to scan again. however if I do this from another PC running placeshifter I get a playbackexception at channel 71 but I am able to still continue and it will finish successfully. not too much of an issue but kind of annoying

Anyone experience anything like this or know of how to fix either issue?

For the first issue can you try selecting settings from the server selection screen then enabling it there.

Tried selecting it in the GUI and no help. Whenever I quit the current session it goes to unchecked or false and no matter what that box is set to it does not change anything. Any other ideas?

This would mean the opengl mode has failed to initialize. Are you sure opengl is working?

You could edit sageclient.sh to remove everything after $2 and run it from a terminal to see the debug output.

Can you also try reinstalling the miniclient.tar.gz file
