Two-tone menus lost in Sage 6

I finally upgraded from v5 to v6.1.9 with the "unsupported extras" enabled and my own background image (actually just a texture). I noticed that the nice two-tone effects were retained for all the Molore screens, but the main Sage screens all turned monochrome (see the top right image). In the examples below, the left images are Sage v5, right are v6.

I didn't see any obvious settings in the properties or STV files to get the non-Malore screens to turn back to two-tone. Anyone have any suggestions?

The default STV no longer has the shading turned on all the time behind some menus; now, it turns on that shaded area only when there is video playing in the background, since that helps to read the menus. There is no option to turn them back on.

The customizations you are using are free to do whatever they want, so you would have to check in the customizations section of the forum to see if there is any other option. (To save some time for one thing: the hidden extras have no such option; the menus are drawn as you see them.)

Thanks, Andy, for your prompt and thorough response.

I suspect that I'm among a very small number of users affected by the removal of this feature. So far, this is the only downside (and certainly a minor one) to a remarkably smooth version upgrade.

As you suggest, I'll take a look at the customizations forum or some other work-around and not waste more time looking for an option that isn't there.
